Academy High School Prom Guidelines

Dress Code:

Modesty is the overriding principle in determining dress for the dance. Keeping this in mind, the dress code for the prom is to avoid any lewd or overly suggestive attire. Students who are unsure if their attire meets dress code standards should see their principal prior to the day of the event.

General Guidelines

• Although this dance takes place on the weekend, it is a school-sponsored activity. All school rules do apply. Any students who do not comply with all directives will not be allowed into the dance, may be removed from the dance, will not receive a refund on the ticket price, and are subject to disciplinary action.
  
  
• Non-Academy guests must have school identification or photo identification to enter the dance.
  
  
• Once a student leaves the dance, they will not be allowed to re-enter, unless escorted by security or AHS parking lot attendants.
  
  
• Students and their guests are encouraged to keep their identification and money with them during the dance. AHS is not responsible for loss of stolen property.
  
  
• No obscene or suggestive dancing - students will be asked to leave the dance, and the parent/guardian will be notified.
  
  
• Any student, or their guest, who is dressed inappropriately for a school function will not be admitted into the dance.

Academy High School juniors and seniors may bring a high school student from another school district; however, the guest permission form below must be completed and turned in prior to purchasing a ticket.
