About Us

Who We Are

The Academy ISD Education Foundation established as a 501(c)3 in 2021, was created to serve as a bridge of support between the community and the district. The Foundation’s purpose is to engage the community to fund additional learning opportunities and resources to enrich and support all students and teachers of AISD. These funds are used to facilitate student achievement, scholarships, and skill development, to recognize and encourage excellence and to expand community involvement from individuals, businesses, and civic organizations. The volunteer Board of Directors made up of business, community and educational leaders work hard to increase support through fundraising, private and corporate donations.

Why Do We Need A Foundation?

As student’s needs and district numbers grow, this foundation seeks to provide educational enrichment opportunities for students and faculty above what is provided within the budget of Academy ISD.

How Does The Foundation Work?

The Academy ISD Education Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors that is representative of the communities and businesses served by Academy ISD. The Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization established to create support for the academic programs of Academy ISD. These funds are available through tax deductible gifts made by individuals, businesses, and industries interested in the welfare of AISD students.

How Can I Help?

Give
Donate your time or resources to help support the mission of the AISD Education Foundation. Monthly meeting attendance is encouraged.
Serve
Serve on one of the following committees: Nominating Committee, Program Committee, Marketing and Events Committee, Development Committee, Finance/Governance Committee, and Special Committee (as needed).
Support
Make sure to share the news about the AISD Education Foundation with friends and family. We have an amazing opportunity to give back to this incredible district.

Student Scholarships

AISD General Scholarship Application

The Application Window Has Closed for 2026

Completed applications are due no later than 5pm CST on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

An application is considered completed when the following criteria are met:

Online Application form completed and submitted

Essay is completed and uploaded to this application.
- Essay Topic: "How has Academy ISD prepared me for my Future" (500-650 words, well formatted, please proof-read & spell check)
Two letters of reference are uploaded to this application.

Incomplete applications will not be considered for awards.

All submissions will be kept confidential, except for review by the Scholarship Committee.
Award winners will be notified by AHS that they have been selected for an award no later than Friday, May 8, 2026.
Scholarships will be presented at the at the Academy High School Senior Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.

2026 AISD General Scholarship Application

Staff Grants

Innovative Teaching Grants - Now Open!

The Academy ISD Education Foundation has opened applications for Innovative Teaching Grants up to $1,000 to be used by the recipients for programs/projects benefiting their students in the upcoming 2026-27 school year.

The Academy ISD Education Foundation Grant Committee will select the grant recipients. Where possible, funds will be paid directly to vendors.
The Academy ISD Education Foundation reserves the right to modify award amounts if less than three qualified applications are received.

Qualification Criteria:
- Current Academy ISD Teacher/Staff member for 2026-27 School Year

Completed applications are due no later than 5pm CST on Monday, August 3, 2026.

An application is considered completed when the following criteria are met:
- Online Application form completed and submitted
- Abstract describing the project is completed and received (or attached)
- Proposed budget is provided

Incomplete applications will not be considered for awards.
All submissions will be kept confidential, except for review by the Grant Committee.
Award winners will be notified in August.
