Beekeepers at Academy Elementary School
-
Dear Academy Elementary Families,
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new volunteer program, Beekeepers, aimed at involving dedicated men from our community in the education and well-being of our scholars at Academy Elementary! As we believe in the power of positive male role models, we invite fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and community members to join us in making a difference in the lives of our students.
Why Volunteer?
Studies show that children benefit significantly from having positive male figures involved in their education. By volunteering, you can help create a nurturing and supportive environment, positively impacting both academic and social development.
What Can Volunteers Do?
Volunteers will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities, such as:
- Assisting in classrooms
- Reading with students
- Mentoring and tutoring
- Supporting lunchtime and recessGetting Started:
1. Complete the Registration Form and Background Check: Your child's safety is our priority. All volunteers are required to complete a background check before participating in the program.
2 Sign Up: Choose dates and times that fit your schedule through our Google Calendar appointment slots. Whether you can spare a day each month or a day each semester, your time is greatly appreciated.
3. Arrival: Please report to the front office by 7:30 A.M. and we kindly ask you to bring your Driver's License upon check-in.
We believe a strong community is built on the active participation of its members. Together, let’s inspire and nurture the next generation. Thank you for your support and commitment to the success of our scholars!
Warm regards,
